Melissa Levy

Melissa Levy has served as Head Pharmacist for the Pharmacy at Bermuda Diabetes Association from November 2010 to 2013 and again September 2019 to present. She has been a Pharmacist for over 15 years with 8 of those years being in Bermuda. She is licensed and registered to practice pharmacy in both Jamaica (her home country) and Bermuda. Her experience in Pharmacy spans from Retail to Pharmaceutical sales as a senior cardiovascular medical representative at Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals to Pharmacy manager at Syldian Family Pharmacy and Bermuda Diabetes Association.

She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree (First class Hons.) from The University of Technology in Jamaica 2005 and served on the executive committee for the Pharmaceutical Society of Jamaica from 2008 to 2010. She is the current President of the Bermuda Pharmaceutical Association

Her passion for Diabetes care stemmed from watching a very close and dear relative struggle with coping with the condition and having difficulty managing the complications which eventually led to her untimely passing. This made it clear the emotional and financial impact this disease has on both patient and family. Having been through this experience she treats each patient with the greatest empathy,  support and care.
