Erika Setzu obtained her doctor in pharmacy degree in 1998, from the University of Pharmacy in Cagliari, Italy.
She then progressed to do a MPhil in Neuroscience at the university of York in UK where she lived and worked for 22 years after moving from Italy in 1999.
She worked as a researcher in Psychology and psychiatry at the university of Liverpool and Manchester respectively, until she started to work as a pharmacist in 2005. Her experience spams from hospital, to community to government and finally primary care.
Her last job was as clinical pharmacist independent prescriber within a GP practice. She ran her own clinics for patients with chronic diseases, patients in nursing homes ,patients with chronic pain, menopausal symptoms, UTIs and simple infections.
Erika has worked extensively with patients with diabetes while in UK and hopes to bring her experience to Bermuda to try and improve the life of people suffering with diabetes.
